Testimonials

As a full time yoga teacher, it is crucial that I maintain my own physical health and alignment. Sean has helped me with this since 2009. He is an absolute professional – he takes his work seriously and has years of wisdom in his understanding of posture and skeletal alignment. I’ve gone through the ten sessions twice with him – once in 2009 and again in 2017. Both times I left feeling lighter, taller, well integrated and overall more aware in my body. In between the 10 sessions, he has done regular “tune-ups” with me to relieve acute flare-ups. I am so grateful to Sean for all his work to keep me painfree and happy!

I came to see Sean for a three series to work on the roots of a twist in my body that evolved from years of pitching baseballs, painting houses and several surgeries in my later teens. Sean could see how my body had evolved in relationship to my past and developed a strategy for each session to help unwind the twist.

Sean’s work was helpful on many levels. The twist is certainly less and, ironically, my acceptance of it more! I have restored awareness and connection in my feet and lower legs where I had surgery years ago. I also feel I’ve taken several positive steps in resolving long-time shoulder tension that I am so familiar with I often don’t notice it!

Sean is a very resourceful, creative, and sincere practitioner. He brings a lot of energy and has a strong skill set to work from. We certainly worked to my edges at times but Sean was responsive to where I was at. These were high quality structural integration sessions. I recommend Sean highly.

The word I was thinking about in terms of the work you do is “catalyst.”  The strict definition of “catalyst” is a substance that initiates or accelerates a chemical reaction without itself being affected.   It also can mean something that causes an important event to happen.

That’s how I think of you.  Everyone is looking for a catalyst in their lives that fits in with whatever else they are doing, that accelerates the good stuff in their lives and causes other good things to happen, while the “catalyst” remains unchanged and unaffected.

So when I was in psychotherapy dealing with some difficult emotional issues, working with you allowed me to release some of the emotional pain around those issues and move forward.   You didn’t ask questions which I appreciated.  You were focused on what you do.   I continued working with you and moved into meditation.  Meditation was a good thing for me and a further improvement in my life.  The work I was doing with you accelerated my positive experience of mediation and my mediation enhanced the work I was doing with you, but you stayed the same.   I continued working with you and moved into Pilates.  Same thing.  Throughout the whole process of working with you, I’ve become pain-free, and physically and emotionally more aligned and balanced.  Throughout these phases, you’ve been supportive and positive in a pleasantly detached way about the various things I’m doing without getting personally involved or trying to influence me or changing how you work with me.  You’re a catalyst!
